Volunteer at Queer It Up! Saturday, July 23rd

We need over 20 volunteers to assist with various duties throughout the day. Please email us with your availability to volunteer and the roles that interest you. You can assist with part of the shift, if that is all you are available for. The final schedule with details will be confirmed by Wednesday, July 20th

Here are the roles:
1.       Setup (7:00 am – 10:30 am)
Volunteers Needed: 15-20
Details: Assist with setup of staging, tables, chairs, tents, food area etc.
2.       Booth Setup (10:00 am – 11:00 am)
Volunteers Needed: 1
Details: Mark the booths for each organization, greet them, provide them with permit, collect money (if appropriate), answer any questions
3.       Food Setup and Prep (11:00 – 5:00 pm)
Volunteers Needed: 1 (Cooking) + 3 (Serving)
Details: Food prep and cooking (make sure things are sanitary), setup (working out utensils and plates), serving
4.       Entertainment (2:00 – 5:00 pm)
Volunteers Needed: 2
Details: greeting artists when they arrive, leading them to where they need to be, stage setup before and between performances etc. etc.
5.       Welcome Booth (10:30 am – 5:00 pm; can sign up for smaller shift)
Volunteers Needed: 3/4
Details: Giving out copies of the program, ensuring photography signage etc. is put up, answering questions and directing people as needed
6.       Sign Making Booth (11:00 am – 12:30 pm)
Volunteers Needed: 3 - 4
Details: Manning booth to allow community to make signs and masks, setup and clean up
7.       Take down
Time: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Volunteers Needed: 15-20
                  Details: Taking down all booths, tables, stage, food; clean up
